CISCO Interview Experience for Internship FY 2023 (On-Campus) IIT-BHU

Online Coding Round: There were 42 Questions having 40 MCQs and 2 Coding Questions. MCQs contain questions from OS, OOPs, Mathematical Aptitude, and the majority of Computer Networks.

Coding Questions:

1. The question was based on Floyd Warshall’s algorithm / Dijkstra’s algorithm.
2. Question on Dp+DFS.

For the coding tests, Do Leetcode and Interview bit continuously for 2 months before Interns. Read CS topics 1 month before tests. 40 were shortlisted for Interviews including me. (It contains Candidates from all branches not like other companies who shortlists only girls or circuital peeps).

First Round (Tech Round):

Questions on Projects, DSA, Oops, DBMS, OS, and Networking were asked. Actually, my Interview lasted so long, for 1.2 Hrs and the interviewer asked everything about the tech.

Tips for this round-Prepare each and every piece of stuff deeply and understand the concepts very deeply. Prepare your projects very nicely. He asked 5 DSA questions and I was able to solve 4.5 out of them fully correctly!

Second Tech+ HR Round: It started with a brief intro of me, my studies, how I manage software with Civil, why Cisco and why software, and then got into asking questions about my projects.

He was actually more interested to know my interest and passion for Computer science ( He was much Impressed with my answers, I had a glimpse of selection at that point in time )

Tips: Confidence is the key in this round, the interviewer wants to check your interpersonal skills more than technical in this round. Also, prepare Projects well as this time too the interviewer got deep into the project.

Third Round (HR Round): 10 min round. Asked about my personal stuff.

How was the day, He then asked about the Salary (which I Know of course ????), location preference, and told me about Cisco Then the Final Selection

• 40 was shortlisted
• 20 left after Round 1
• 16 after Round 2
• Final selection of 8 including me.

Tips:

• Be confident in the interview and even in your preparations.
• Don’t waste your time on unnecessary things, especially a few months before the intern’s tests.
• Keep taking guidance from seniors and most importantly keep smiling.
