The isAutoDetecting() method is a built-in method of the java.nio.charset.CharsetDecoder class which tells whether or not this decoder implements an auto-detecting charset.
Syntax:
public boolean isAutoDetecting()
Parameters: The function does not accepts any parameter.
Return Value: The function returns a boolean value stating if this CharsetDecoder implements ab auto-detecting charset.
Below is the implementation of the above function:
Program 1:
import java.nio.charset.*;
import java.util.Iterator;
import java.util.Map;
public class GFG {
public static void main(String[] args)
{
Charset charset = Charset.forName( "ISO-2022-CN" );
CharsetDecoder decoder = charset.newDecoder();
System.out.println( "CharsetDecoder: " + decoder);
System.out.println( "Is CharsetDecoder auto-detecting: "
+ decoder.isAutoDetecting());
}
}
|
Output:
CharsetDecoder: sun.nio.cs.ext.ISO2022_CN$Decoder@232204a1
Is CharsetDecoder auto-detecting: false
Program 2:
import java.nio.charset.*;
import java.util.Iterator;
import java.util.Map;
public class GFG {
public static void main(String[] args)
{
Charset charset = Charset.forName( "x-windows-949" );
CharsetDecoder decoder = charset.newDecoder();
System.out.println( "CharsetDecoder: " + decoder);
System.out.println( "Is CharsetDecoder auto-detecting: "
+ decoder.isAutoDetecting());
}
}
|
Output:
CharsetDecoder: sun.nio.cs.ext.DoubleByte$Decoder@232204a1
Is CharsetDecoder auto-detecting: false
