Capital one Interview Experience for SWE (On-Campus)

All students from CSE, ENI, ECE, and EEE branches with 7+cgpa were eligible for the coding round and approx 100 of them applied.

22 students were shortlisted for case interviews.

Case Interview:  I was given one dsa question of simple graphs dfs, which could be optimized using memoization. 
And another was a game design question where we had to Design data structure for players and ranks, and implement add_player,get_rank, and update_score methods in either o(1) or o(logn) time.

7 students were shortlisted for technical interview

Technical Interview: wasn’t asked any coding questions in this round, and the interviewer was a bit senior guy, he asked me some situational-based questions, and discussed each and every project and also the work I did in my previous internships. Everything was discussed in depth so please make sure you know the in and outs of the projects you mention in your resume.

4 students were shortlisted for the HR round

HR round:  this round was for around 20-25minutes and was conducted by one of the capitals India Engineering team lead managers, she asked me some basic behavioral questions and we also discussed my PORs and the co-curricular activities. This round was more of a general discussion rather than an interview.

Verdict: selected

The next day the list was out and 3 of us were given the offer.
