A) Sunday
B) Saturday

Ans – C

Solution-
Today is Friday.
Each day gets repeated after 7 days.
so, on dividing 363 by 7, we get remainder = 6
1 Saturday
2 Sunday
3 Monday
4 Tuesday
5 Wednesday
6 Thursday
Hence, option C is the correct answer.

 
Que 2. If today is Saturday, then when will it be Monday?
A) Today
B) Two days after today
C) Tomorrow
D) The day after tomorrow
Ans- D

Solution-
Today is Saturday.
Tomorrow is Sunday.
The day after tomorrow will be Monday.
Hence, option D is the correct answer.

 

Que 3. If the day after the 11th of March is Thursday, then what will be the last day of the month?
A) Thursday
B) Wednesday
C) Friday
D) Tuesday

Solution-
The day after the 11th of March is Thursday means on 12th of March is Thursday.
March has 31 days.
19th march is Thursday then 26th March is Thursday.
26 + 5 = 31st March.
Thursday + 5 = Tuesday.

Que 4. If the day before yesterday was Monday, then what day will it be the day after tomorrow?

The day before yesterday is Monday,

We know that in 365 days we have 1 odd day.
26 January 2017 = Thursday
26 January 2018 = Friday
26 January 2019 = Saturday
26 January 2020 = Sunday.

2020 is a leap year so February has 29 days.
26 January 2021 = Sunday + 2 = Tuesday (+2 because of leap year, In 366 days we have 2 odd days)

Que 6.  If the fourth day of a month is Wednesday, then which day will come on the third day after the 19th day of the same month?
A) Tuesday
B) Saturday
C) Sunday
D) Friday

Solution-
The fourth day of the month is Wednesday
so, the first day of the month = Sunday
The third day after the 19th day of the month = the 22nd day of the month
1st day of the month = 8th day of the month = 15th day of the month = 22nd day of the month = Sunday.

 

Que 7. If 13th March 2018 was Tuesday then what was the day on 13th March 2021?
A) Saturday

Solution-
We know that in 365 days we have 1 odd day and in 366 days we have 2 odd days.
13 March 2018 = Tuesday
13 March 2019 = Wednesday
13 March 2020 = Friday
13 March 2021 = Saturday.

Solution-
Except for 2021, all are perfectly divisible by 4. So, 2021 is not a leap year.
Hence, option B is the correct answer.

 

Que 9.  How many leap years will be there in 800 years?
A) 194
B) 196
C) 197
D) 198

Solution-
In 100 years, leap year =24 years.
Therefore, in 800 years, leap years will be =8 × 24 = 192
Now, since the leap year occurs once after every four years, means the 400th year and 800th also leap years.
So, the total number of leap years in 800 years=192 + 2 = 194
Hence, option A is the correct answer.

 

Que 10.  The last day of a century will not be –
A) Tuesday
B) Saturday
C) Thursday
D) All of the above

Solution-
100 years contain 5 odd days. (so, the last day of the 1st century is Friday.)
200 years contain (5 × 2) = 3 odd days. (so, the last day of the 2nd century is Wednesday.)
300 years contain (5 × 3) = 15 = 1 odd day(so, Last day of 3rd century is Monday.)
400 years contain 0 odd days. (Last day of the 4th century is Sunday.)
This cycle is repeated.
Therefore, the last day of a century cannot be Tuesday or Thursday, or Saturday.
Hence, option D is the correct answer.
