Hello everyone!

So Robert Bosch visited our campus for 2023 CSE, IT, ECE, and EEE students. The eligibility criteria were that the student should be of the above-mentioned stream and should have 60% or 6 CGPA in B.Tech only. The job was for mobility requirements and IT services requirements. But the role that you will get will be based on your performance in the online assessment and interview. The work locations may be any one of Bangalore, Coimbatore, Pune, or Hyderabad.

Hiring Process:

  • First was the online assessment. It consisted of MCQs and 1 coding question which was of easy-medium level. The MCQ was based on general aptitude and verbal and logical reasoning questions. Around 50% of students cleared this round. The online assessment was held on 21st June.
  • For the students that cleared this round, Bosch visited the campus for a pre-placement talk on 25th June 2022, it was called “BGSW Day” and was very engaging. I urge everyone to attend their pre-placement talk if they visit your campus. Also, listen carefully to their talk as it may become beneficial in the interview round.
  • The last was the online interview. It was held 2 days after the pre-placement talk (There was no HR round but it happens for some campuses or if you apply off-campus so be prepared). I am a CSE student so the interview went like this:
    •  Tell me about yourself.
    • Questions on mentioned project. You should know your projects very well.
    • OOPs concepts like inheritance, and polymorphism with their real-life use.
    • Software testing types
    • SDLC lifecycle
    • One coding question – easy level.
    • Any questions. You should be prepared with at least 2 good questions.

So overall, it was a learning experience. The interviewers are very polite and supportive.

Tips:

  • Be clear with core subjects like OOPs, DBMS, Software Engineering, Computer Networks, etc.
  • Be thorough with your projects.
  • Coding level is not difficult so don’t sweat it.
  • Be calm and answer honestly.
