So  recently Airtel visited our campus at MNIT Jaipur for SDE, The process consisted of 4 rounds

Round 1: It was a simple resume shortlisting round actually there were 2 profiles for Data Analyst they have shortlisted on basis of CGPA due to the high volume of applications .44 of us got shortlisted for SDE

Round 2: It consisted of an online test consisting of aptitude, verbal communication-based questions, and 2 coding questions first were frequency sort and the other was a total closed island in a grid on the AMCAT platform.

(P.S: AMCAT  does not support unordered_map and priority queue so try to write by using other methods)

Round 3: It was a technical round. The interview was smooth and he was working there for the last year and he was very supportive. He asked me OOPs concepts and  3 DSA questions. It was 1hr 15 min and 8 of us got shortlisted.

  • Detect and Remove loop from the linked list
  • The minimum cost of ropes joining
  • 0 sum subarray

Round 4: It was also a technical round. The interviewer has 10+ years of experience. He asked me about my projects. I told him I made a front-end website then he asked if it blogging or a portfolio website (probably it is very easily available on the internet). I said no and showed something new to him and he was impressed. My suggestion is don’t copy anything from anywhere be thorough with your resume .he asked me how the internet works and all. He then asked whether I know system design os and networking. I said no since I am from a chemical Engineering background so, but I told him after full-stack development I will be learning that as well. He asked how I got interested in IT field. He then asked about abstraction and then finally he then asked me a DSA question.

It was a modified form of K min elements. I started from brute force and optimized it further to the best solution and he was satisfied and then he asked me to code it. I wrote the code. He was satisfied and then he asked me if I have any questions for him. Here my personal trick is to ask about his experience as it always worked for me. It went for 55 min

Verdict: Finally, results came by 7:30 evening. I got the offer along with my 3 other friends, some personal suggestions:

Be thorough with your cv and never tell the answer directly to the interviewer .first discuss your approach start from brute force and then  go to subsequent optimized solution this will show your deep understanding and Finally don’t copy projects from internet and be confident and trust yourself and special thanks to GFG it really helped me out in my placement prep . Its interview experiences will definitely help you out so contribute to it.

I hope this will help you help .All the best for your future Jai Hind !!
