Airbus India visited our campus to hire pre-final year students(2023 Batch) for Early Bird 2.0 which is a training program and upon completion of training after evaluation. Electrical, mechanical, computer science, and electronics were allowed for this exam. There were mainly two rounds, first, was a Computer Based Online Recruitment Test (on Cocubes) followed by an interview. We needed to select 2 preferable programs from a list of programs according to the department of study. I selected 2 programs Simulation & Frameworks and Navigation & Communication. Aptitude round was compulsory for each selected program. There was no negative marking in this round.

Round 1(Aptitude Test): This test was of 30 minutes and consisted of 30 questions. There were mainly 3 sections:

  • English test: This section had comprehension, jumbled sentences, jumbled words and fill in the blanks
  • Data interpretation and logical reasoning: This section had data reasoning questions, sequence filling, logical reasoning, data interpretation, pattern understanding, etc. The questions were similar to that asked in the cat exam.
  • Quantitative aptitude: This section had questions related to time and work, time and distance, quadratic equation, linear inequalities, permutation, combination, etc. The questions were similar to that asked in the cat exams. Also one has to be careful while answering the questions since the picture questions were non-zoomable and one has to carefully see the questions.

Round 1.1(Simulation & Frameworks): This test was of 30 minutes and consisted of 25 questions.

  • There were around 3-4 aptitude questions. The questions were easy and mainly asked on time and work.
  • Around 15 questions were asked on output-based questions, error checking, and OOP-based questions on classes and data structures.
  • There were also some miscellaneous questions on business concepts like a bottleneck and optimization-based questions.

Round 1.2(Navigation & Communication): This test was of 30 minutes and consisted of 25 questions.

  • There were around 3-4 aptitude questions. The questions were easy and mainly asked on time and work.
  • Around 10 questions were asked on output-based questions, error checking and OOP-based questions, and on data structures.
  • There were around 10 questions asked on flight controls and navigation controls like fin, rudder, flap, etc.

Round 2(Online Interview): The interview lasted for about 30 minutes. There were two interviewers in my interview The questions asked were:-

  • Introduce yourself
  • Explain your projects.
  • What do you know about Airbus? (P.S. Thoroughly check the website)
  • What are the languages you are comfortable with (I said C++ and Python).
  • I was given a program to find the frequency of each character in a string.
  • What is a dictionary in python?
  • What is the difference between tuple and list?
  • Then I was asked to write another program to get the most frequent character from a string. (I managed to write the complete program correctly but due to some reasons, it was not compiling mainly due to an error in the Jupyter compiler. Then I explained the program to them and they said okay)
  • Why do you want to join Airbus?
  • Some questions for us?

Finally, after a week, the results came out and I was selected for the early bird training program.
