In this era, everyone is using digital platforms for one purpose or the other and to make digital presence attractive, posts, images, and videos should be edited perfectly to reflect the professionalism to fulfill this purpose different organizations launched different software which are best in editing, motion graphics, visual effects etc. The two most popular software are Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects which are used by individuals as well as by organizations for different purposes. Both of these softwares are developed by Adobe Incorporation and have a large number of features so we will compare the two to find out the best one.

After-Effects-Adobe-Premiere

After Effects is a motion graphic and visual effect tool which was developed by CoSA, Aldus Corporation and Adobe incorporation. Initially, it was released in 1993 and its stable version was released in 2022. It provides a large number of features for visual effects like composting, tracking, keying and animation also. It was built using C and C++ programming languages.

Advantages of After Effects

  • It is good for creating 2D animation, 3D elements, motion graphics, stop motion animation, etc.
  • It has a chroma key cutting feature for changing backgrounds easily.
  • It has lots of options for text animation.
  • It allows adding motions to images so to give animation effects.

Disadvantages of After Effects

  • It requires dedicated RAM to work smoothly.
  • It does not have many options for audio editing.

Adobe Premiere is a video editing computer software which was developed by Adobe Incorporation. It is an easy to use software which provides different tools like precision trimming, audio editing, visual effects, text effects, transitions etc. It provides a large number of audio and video layers so to work on different layers. It is very useful to naive users who don’t have editing experience.

Advantages of Adobe Premiere

  • It has a responsive interface which makes editing process very easy and effective.
  • It comes with large number of transitions and visual effects.
  • It supports a large number of file formats like MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV etc. 
  • Multiple files can be edited simultaneously without slowing down the system.
  • It have advance features for audio editing like noise reduction, compressor, limiter, equalizer etc.

Disadvantages of Adobe Premiere

  • It is not available for android devices.
  • Autosave features do not work many times.
  • It builds cache files which fill the cache memory.

1. It can be understood as motion graphic software which helps in visual effects, animation and designing. It can be understood as a video editing software which provides brilliant editing features.
2. It is used in adding visual effects and special effects to edited videos. It is used to edit videos which were recorded by a handy cam or camera.
3. After effects is an advanced software so it is more costly. Price of this software is less compared to After Effects.
4. It includes 3D graphic programs and collaboration tools. It does not include 3D graphic programs.
5. It is available in a large number of languages. It is available in a few languages.
6. It supports android devices easily. It cannot be used easily on android devices.
7. It does not have Audio Mixer functionality. It provides better features for audio editing through Audio Mixer.
8. It does not have Multicam or masking features. It has advanced video manipulation features like Multicam and Masking.
