Test Platform: Mettl/AON-Cocubes/Hirepro/Wheelbox (Test was being conducted on different platforms on different days- difficulty level varied according to the assessment platform)

Round 1: Cognitive and Technical Assessment 

  • Duration: 90 mins
  • Difficulty Level- Moderate
  • No. of questions: 90
  • Elimination Round
  • No negative marking
  • Nonadaptive pattern (Inter and Intra sectional navigation allowed)
  • Sectional and Sub-sectional cut-offs

Topics covered under the Cognitive section comprise-

  • English Ability
  • Numerical Ability
  • Analytical Reasoning

Topics covered under the Technical section comprise-

  • Pseudocodes
  • Common Applications and MS Office
  • Cloud, Networking, and Security
  • After successfully attempting and submitting the test, wait patiently for the next 5-10 mins for the result (Don’t close the test window). If you have made it through Round 1, then it is a win-win deal, and you are headed to the next section.

Round 2: Coding Assessment

  • Duration: 45 mins
  • Difficulty level: Easy to Moderate
  • No. of questions: 2
  • Non-elimination round
  • Marking of this round will be considered in the final score at the time of the interview
  • Languages Permitted – C, C++, Java, DOT NET, Python

Round 3: Communication Assessment

  • Duration: 30 mins
  • Non-elimination round (Some said that they didn’t make it after this particular round though it was a non-elimination round – maybe their voice wasn’t clearly recorded or some background noise interruption)
  • Good quality earphones/headphones and mic are mandatory for successfully clearing this round
  • No background noise
  • Good internet speed is a must for the successful submission of this section (I myself had to attempt this round twice due to some internet connectivity issues)

Basically, there are four aspects on which you will be tested-

  • Vocabulary
  • Fluency
  • Pronunciation
  • Sentence mastery

The round comprises of 6 sub-sections –

Reading Sentences:

  • Reading the sentences being displayed on the screen
  • 8 sentences
  • 30 seconds time to read each sentence
  • Start reading after the beep sound, be clear, loud, and pronounce accurately

Repeating Sentences:

  • You have to repeat a sentence after hearing to audio from the system
  • 16 sentences
  • 30 seconds for each sentence
  • Start speaking after the beep sound, be clear, loud, and accurate while repeating

Jumbled Sentences:

  • Rearrange the jumbled sentences accurately into the meaningful ones
  • 10 sentences

Question and Answers:

  • You will hear some questions and will be provided with two options for each question and have to answer the same orally
  • 24 questions
  • Exemplary question: Water is found in which state? Options: Liquid / Solid

Story Narration:

  • First, you will be entertained with a short audio story and afterward, you have to narrate the same story back again in your own words
  • 3 stories
  • 30 seconds to narrate each
  • Start speaking after the beep sound, be clear, loud, and pronounce accurately
  • Tip: Try remembering the main plot and central characters of the story while listening to it

Speaking:

  • You will get some general questions and you have to answer it verbally (A time fraction of some seconds would be given to you for thinking about your answer)
  • 2 questions
  • 1 minute per question
  • Exemplary Question: Who is your role model in your family and why?
  • Tip: Be clear, loud, and pronounce accurately. Give relevant examples/reasons/explanations in support of your answer to make it sound more catching.
  • Clearing all the above rounds successfully, you will now enter the final stage of the recruitment process.

Round 4: Online Interview

  • Duration: 20 mins
  • You will be given a choice of selecting a time slot of your convenience for the online interview
  • The interview would be a mix of both Technical and HR
  • Difficulty level: Moderate
  • Elimination Round

About the interviewer:

  • The interviewer was friendly and quite experienced, she was associated with the company for the last 7-8 years.
  • The interviewer introduced herself in the very beginning and at the end asked if I had any questions to ask.
  • The interviewer majorly focused on my ability to explain myself and how well I understand what I say (Almost all of my answers were cross-questioned to test my analytical thinking)

Round 5: HR questions:

  • Tell me about yourself
  • What are all the extra co-curricular activities you have been an active participant in?
  • What is that one major challenge you have faced during your graduation?
  • Why Accenture?

Tips:

  • Preferred programming language and why? (Mine was C++)
  • Questions based on the domain of your major project.
  • If assigned a task to work on a project, what latest technology would you prefer and why? (Many cross-questions over the project that you are going to tell the interviewer regarding the idea, objective, and innovation behind the project)
  • Difference between call by value and call by reference.
  • You are now done with the entire recruitment process and will be asked to wait for some 15-20 days in order to receive the final results, Good Luck!
